South College-Asheville is located in the Turtle Creek Center in Asheville, North Carolina. The building contains approximately 11,400 square feet of modern classrooms, laboratories and other conveniences for the use of students. Parking is available for students and staff.
The library provides comfortable study areas for the student body and faculty. The general library collection includes more than 5,000 volumes including an extensive law library. Over 60 periodicals, including professional journals and newspapers, have been selected to support the college curriculum. General reference works, pamphlets, and audio and visual tapes are also available. To keep the collection current, outdated books are removed and new books added each year. The library's conveniences include several computers that include access to WESTLAW, LIRN, and the Internet.
For student convenience and comfort, a student center containing a variety of vending machines and a microwave is available. Smoking is not allowed inside the building. A designated area outside of the building is provided for smokers. A college bookstore is available on campus where books and selected clothing may be purchased.
The courses at South College-Asheville are conducted in the day, afternoon, and evening hours Monday through Saturday. Day classes normally begin at 8:30 a.m., evening classes at 6:00 p.m., and Friday/Saturday classes at 9:00 a.m. (unless otherwise specified by the college). Tutorials, make-ups, and laboratory assignments are normally completed in the afternoons and on Fridays/Saturdays. Students' schedules will vary according to their individual courses of study.
